1) Operating System-level conceptual understanding

3) Understanding of networking concepts including (but not limited to):
a. OSI model and TCP/IP stack

c. Common protocols like DNS, DHCP, FTP, http/s, SMTP
4) Exposure to any one of the following web servers and application servers from a
configuration/administration standpoint:

a. CI/CD using Jenkins or any other tool
b. Configuration management using Ansible/Chef/Puppet
c. Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or any other tool
d. Source code management using SVN/Git
2) Intermediate/practitioner level exposure on public clouds: AWS/Azure/GCP
a. Compute services

3) Dockers/Containers/Kubernetes (elementary to advanced knowledge)
Job-Profile: Cloud Engineer
1) Responsible for External and Internal Customer Interaction for Cloud Infra Management
2) Collaborate with Solutioning and Product Engineering teams for optimized and cutting-edge
Cloud Infra deployments
3) Problem analysis and solving in Different Customer environments
4) Interpreting and correlating different information sources for Infrastructure related
Operational/Security issues
5) Facilitation for Installation and Patching of Product and Solutions through DevOps or other
Secure channels
6) Participate in POCs for service incorporation, process enhancements and automation
7) Maintenance, upgrade and patching of infrastructure and Cloud Management Application
suites
8) Managing Cloud Infra environments through code viz Terraform, Cloud formation.
Career path: A Cloud Engineer depending upon their skills and interest, can grow to become a
Principal Cloud Architect or Cloud Operations/DevOps Manager or Cloud Security Manager
