What you’ll do

  • Build a deep understanding of our existing business using internal and external data
  • Support in strategically evaluating new product opportunities, and how they fit in a product portfolio
  • Work with cross-functional partners (product, data science, engineering, user research, analytics) to surface opportunities and threats, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations
  • Support in creating crisp opportunity proposals (docs/ ppts) to the Product team to help the company make the right strategic decisions, address key challenges, and identify new ways to grow by tapping into market opportunities
  • Work closely with Product, Tech & Finance teams for Budget planning, portfolio analyses & presentations to the leadership
  • Support all aspects of potential M&A processes, including strategic/financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence
  • Building knowledge repository about the market, industry & competitive landscape
  • As a senior member of the team – help in directing, guiding, and developing the analysts to help them be successful in their role

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of management consulting or strategic planning experience
  • Degree in business or related field (MBA preferred) from tier 1 institutes (IIMs/ FMS/ ISB, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent analytical skills – ability to understand and interpret data within the context of the business – solve problems and distill data into impactful recommendations
  • Ability to articulate insights & visualize complex data findings in an easy to understand summary in the form of docs/ ppts
  • Prior experience in domains like Customer Analysis (segmentation, pricing & promotion strategies), Commercial Analysis (develop business cases & financial modeling), Market & Competitor Analysis (building cases for geographic expansion &  merger/ acquisition/ partnership with other companies)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superb presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Financial services, Consumer banking, loans & mortgages would be a plus
  • Prior hands-on experience in data extraction & manipulation (SQL, R, etc.) would be a plus
